The story of BOHEMYCO began long before the company itself — with childhood walks in the forest, where the family gathered medicinal herbs and mushrooms, brewed chaga tea, and passed on a deep respect for nature. It was during these years that the future founder, doc. Ing. Evgeny Razumov, DrSc., first felt the power of the fungal world — its hidden energy, potential, and mystery.
Over time, this fascination grew into a scientific passion: the study of bioactive compounds, mycology, cultivation technologies, and extraction processes. At the crossroads of personal history, scientific precision, and profound respect for Eastern traditions and philosophy (TCM, Daoist practices, Japanese longevity mushrooms), the idea emerged to create a new type of company — one that unites nature, science, and culture.

“I first encountered medicinal mushrooms in Siberia thanks to a 90 year-old hunter who drank Chaga tea daily and was able to walk 40–50 kilometers through the forest without fatigue. This real-life example was my first intuitive encounter with adaptogenic and tonic effects traditionally attributed to medicinal fungi.
Alternative approaches to supporting human health have always fascinated me. My grandfather, Štefan Barcík, after participating in the First World War, actively used various restorative techniques during his work as a wrestling coach. At that time, the wrestling hall was located in the center of Prague, inside the Lucerna Palace.
Later, my grandfather served as a personal bodyguard to the family of the first president of Czechoslovakia, T. G. Masaryk — specifically, he was responsible for protecting his daughter, Alice Masaryková.
